Volkswagen Golf Plus Vehicle Review and Information.

Vehicle
Volkswagen Golf Plus
Vehicle Summary
Perhaps one of the trickiest cars ever for Volkswagen's marketing team, as it's neither hatchback or MPV. It's slightly roomier than the already spacious standard MKV Golf, yet doesn't have the versatility or seven seats of the Touran MPV. However, the Golf Plus is a well-rounded product offering clear space advantages over the standard car, a similar engine line-up as well as features not yet available on the Golf as of June 2005. Attractive, good to drive and well-finished inside, the Golf Plus is expected to account for almost one quarter of Golf sales in the UK during a full year, so VW thinks enough people can be persuaded that the Golf Plus is the answer to their flexibility needs.

S models have ESP, six airbags, four electric windows and mirrors, air conditioning and a CD radio. SE models add an alarm, upgraded audio, alloy wheels, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, cruise control, drawers under the front seats, seat-back storage pockets and tables, trip computer and a 12V socket in the boot. Sport models lose cruise control, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers but add larger alloys, sports front seats, sports suspension and variable boot floor. GT models have all items available on Sport, but with the addition of automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers and auto-dimming rear-view mirror and front fog lights. Luna replaced S in April 2006. It has the same equipment as S, but adds a convenience pack (auto and 'guide-me-home' headlamps), auto-dimming rear-view mirror, rain-sensing wipers and extra internal storage.
