Volkswagen Beetle

You'll either love it hate it, but in the right circles Beetle still has a certain cache. It's based upon the previous-generation Golf and drives just the same. If you don't like the looks, then buy a Golf instead, because the shape compromises the interior space and boot access and it's more expensive. In case you were unsure, it is now a front engined, front-wheel driver with nothing other than its imitation looks to link it to the original Beetle.
