Vauxhall Corsa

The 2006 Corsa has grown to become competitive with newest rivals for space. It's about as big as the latest Renault Clio and Peugeot 207, and like the Astra, has two distinct profiles for three-door and five-door models. The interior is solid and user-friendly in the style of the latest Vauxhall models, although the Corsa is supposed to have a youthful image, so there is a range of options for making the interior more colourful. Petrol engines feel like they're working hard when challenged. Diesels are more relaxed.

12V, CDTI, SXI, 16V

All Corsas come with a CD player, central locking, front airbags with a passenger airbag deactivation switch. Life models add remote central locking and electric front windows. Club models have steering-wheel mounted audio controls, a soft-touch dashboard and improved interior illumination. SXi models have sports suspension, front fog lamps, and translucent lighting on heating, ventilation and window switches. Design models have rain-sensing windscreen wipers and automatic headlights. Options include Plus Pack (15-inch alloys, cruise control, trip computer and front fog lights on Club models and automatic climate control in place of alloys on Design and SXi models), satellite navigation, six-CD autochanger, rear parking sensors, alloy wheel upgrades, sunroof and adaptive headlights that direct the beams with the steering on corners
