Toyota Aygo

Aygo is Toyota's take on an urban runabout aimed primarily at active twenty-somethings. Jointly developed with PSA Peugeot Citroen (although the vehicle design is all Toyota's work), the Aygo has a frugal yet feisty three-cylinder engine, ultra-low running costs and superior quality to most cars in its sector. The Aygo will transport four six-foot adults in relative comfort, with nimble handling and a smooth ride. Aygo+ and Sport models add extra kit over the base Aygo, while option packs include Samsonite bags and portable satellite navigation. An automated manual shift is also available with similar fuel consumption to the standard car.

WT-I, SPORT

The Aygo has most things you expect to find on a sub-£7000 car, with a CD player, ABS, twin airbags and folding rear seats. Spending a little more on the Aygo+ will add electric front windows, side airbags, remote central locking, a better audio system and split rear seats. Sport models also have alloys and a rev counter. Options include air conditioning, travel pack and navigation pack. TomTom navigation system has a touch-screen display with a 3D colour map showing the route. Voice prompts come through the car's audio system.
