Renault Vel Satis

The British have never been fans of big, French executive models. Whether Vel Satis changes that is another story. MPV-like looks aren't to everyone's tastes, and there's not quite as much room as you'd expect inside. The interior seems designed for middle class French ladies transporting their poodles to the parlour. Almost camp and quite funny to be in, but spec is good and it seems very safe.

Specifications are generous across the range as befits a high-end model. A gadget lovers dream with lots of thoughtful little touches and idiosyncrasies.
