Renault Laguna Sport Tourer

The Laguna Sport Tourer is a sleek and safe Mondeo-sized car with a wide range of engines, including some cracking diesels. A 2005 facelift saw a number of improvements, which included minor exterior alterations, smarter interior materials and more of an emphasis on quality control - a longstanding Laguna bugbear. The Laguna Sport Tourer is generously packed with specifications, above and beyond a reasonable level of expectation and - with a five-star Euro NCAP rating is an extremely safe car.

16V, DCI, GT, V6, 24V

Very well-equipped as standard, even to the point of adding features other manufacturers don't even offer as extras - like tyre pressure monitor and keyless entry. From 2005, the basic model is equipped with air-con, electric front windows and mirrors, trip computer and extensive safety equipment. The next model is called Expression and is additionally equipped with 16" alloys, automatic lights and wipers, roof bars, rear electric windows, cruise control, heat reflecting windscreen and 'See me home' headlights. This is followed by Privilege spec, with a six-disc CD auto-changer, opening rear hatch window, panoramic sunroof, hands free door opening, parking sensors, part-leather upholstery, rear sun-blinds, tyre-pressure monitor and xenon headlamps. Finally the most the most luxuriously equipped model is badged Initiale and adds electrochrome rear view mirror, ESP, Full leather upholstery, sat-nav and blue-tooth communications system. There are also models with a sporty flavour, the first of which is badged Extreme and features 17" alloys, black roof bars and sports seats. The Dynamique trim adds automatic lights and wipers, rear electric windows, cruise control, heat reflecting windscreen and 'See me home' headlights. The GT spec level has ESP, heated front seats, rear sun blind, satellite navigation, tyre pressure monitor, xenon lights sports suspension and leather seats. Additional option packs are also offered on most models to further upgrade spec levels.
