Renault Kangoo Van Vehicle Review and Information.
Vehicle
Renault Kangoo Van
Vehicle Summary
Renault’s Kangoo van entered the small van market in 1998, proving popular among small business owners looking for dependability and all-round versatility in a compact package. It competes against the Citroën Berlingo and Fiat Doblo and, despite stiff competition, has proved a popular buy thanks to a wide range of engines, easy access to the rear and a roomy load bay. Renault has successfully re-packaged Kangoo as a passenger vehicle, too, launching it into the compact people carrier market in 1999.

Features
Unlike Doblo Cargo, Kangoo choice is restricted by the absence of a high-roof version, so some buyers may be put off, though the optional folding passenger seat means you can store longer items lengthways. There’s a wide opening to the boot and the wheel arches are easily wide enough apart to accommodate a Europallet. Kangoo’s load volume is decent, swallowing 2750 litres thanks to the broad 1672mm load width. It’s worth noting that Kangoo is shorter than the Berlingo and Doblo, and the load length is not as deep, either. Standard Kangoo’s maximum payload ranges from 525-625kg, which is commendable but around 100 kilos less than the base model Doblo. Nevertheless for those needing to lug heavier loads, Kangoo SL19 and Heavy Duty models have a greater payload. The sliding side-door is great for ease of access, especially when parked on the street. There is sufficient headroom in the cabin and the overhead shelf is handy for storing paperwork or lighter items of luggage.
