Nissan Micra C+C

Nissan's take on the small cabriolet is arguably the best yet, although does feature certain compromises - it can only carry four people if they're all very short. Designed and built in Britain, we've never seen a car so tailored with the female buyer in mind and it bears a number of lady-focused features as a result. Witness a handbag hook, vanity mirrors in both sun visors, mobile phone storage, tissue holder and a one touch roof that is activated with a single button rather than needing a finger nail-breaking catch to be released. Finally the interior is fashionably trimmed in a tasteful chocolate and duck-egg blue (optional). The roof is a folding hard top that is all glass, so the cabin is light and airy even when not going topless. It takes 22 seconds to stow and can be activated even whilst moving at low speed should you get caught at the traffic lights.

SPORT

There are three models: Urbis, Sport and Essenza. The base model Urbis is only offered with the 1.4 engine, but still has the full glass roof with electric operation, central locking, electric heated door mirrors, six-speaker CD system, steering wheel-mounted stereo controls, electric windows, 15-inch alloy wheels and height adjustable seat. The Sport has the 1.6 engine and adds air-conditioning and 16-inch alloys to the Urbis spec and the Essenza builds upon the Sport specification with the Intelligent key system, CD autochanger, heated seat, automatic air-conditioning, ESP and leather trim. Options are limited to metallic paint and air-conditioning upgrades on the lower models.
