Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution

In the continuing war of the Japanese rally-styled road cars the EVO beats Subaru's Impreza in looks and individuality; performance-wise they're evenly matched but most people seem to fall into one camp or the other (if they can live with the leery looks at all). The Mitsubishi offers a more hardcore set up that most resembles a car set up for racing rather than driving on the road - it takes self control not to have your licence taken away from you within a matter of hours. Later MR versions featured a number of significant revisions that further enhanced the dynamics.

You get the usual comfort goodies like electric windows and climate control, then there's the rally hardware intercooler spray and law-of-physics-defying Active Yaw Control with settings for tarmac, gravel or snow.
