Mazda MX-5 Vehicle Review and Information.

Mazda MX-5
Vehicle Summary
In developing the third generation MX-5, Mazda has fine tuned just about every aspect. It feels more modern, rides better and looks bang-up-to-date, while still retaining the classic charm of the original. It's safer too now and even more sensible as an ownership proposition thanks to the availability of a folding hard top alternative to the soft top. If the little Mazda is to be your only car, we'd recommend the hard roof, which folds automatically in 12 seconds, comes with the otherwise optional air conditioning, makes it quieter, more secure and is cosier in bad weather. The MX-5 is now considerably more sophisticated than its predecessor, but you need to drive it harder to feel like you're having the same fun.

Features
The basic 1.8i is offered with electric windows and mirrors and a four speaker CD player. The 2.0-litre model has in addition to the 1.8, a limited slip differential, side airbags and traction and stability control. An options pack which can be specified on either model, adds a cloth rather than vinyl roof, 16-inch alloy wheels, two extra speakers and leather steering wheel and gear knob. A 2.0-litre Sport model has in addition to the 2.0-litre with option pack, 17-inch alloy wheels, six-speed gearbox, front fog lights, heated leather seats and sports suspension. At launch, a limited edition - sure to be the first of many - adds coloured leather seats, a BOSE audio system with six-disc autochanger, climate control and enhanced trim and detailing. A range of optional extras are available too. Roadster Coupe models have an automated folding roof, and an enhanced specification that includes climate control and ipod compatibility.
