Kia Rio

The Kia of the last couple of years has been a company that's launched a string of impressive products. Good value - but essentially lacklustre - models have been replaced with cars that look good, feel good and still tick all the boxes when it comes to value, specification and running costs. The Rio sticks to that formula. It's all-new (only the name is carried over from the old car), has stylish looks, a good diesel engine and a great standard equipment list. It competes with Clio and Fiesta at the larger end of the small car market.

CRDI, GS, LX

Two trims: GS and LX. GS has air con, ABS with EBD, twin front airbags, power steering, remote central locking, alarm, front electric windows and a CD player with MP3 compatibility. LX adds 15-inch alloy wheels sports seat trim, leather covered steering wheel, rear electric windows, six airbags, body coloured mirrors and door handles and chrome interior trim.
