Hyundai Accent

This Accent shares the same name as the model that ran from 1994-1999, but it's an all-new model. It also got a tweak in 2003. It's a straight-forward, practical and reliable Focus-sized car - available as a three or five-door hatchback or a four-door saloon. The Accent is good value (it comes with a five-year/unlimited mileage warranty as standard) and reliable, but the blob-like styling will not appeal to all buyers and rivals hold there value better.

1.3i has adjustable steering column, RDS stereo, body colour bumpers, internally adjustable mirrors, remote filler release, digital clock. Si adds driver’s seat height and lumbar adjustment, split fold rear seats, manual glass sunroof, rear spoiler, remote boot release. GSi has remote tailgate release and childproof rear door locks. CDX as GSi plus air con, electric aerial, front arm rest, electric mirrors, split fold rear seats. Uprated 1.5 MVi (June 00) has alloy wheels, sports body kit. 1.5 TD GSi turbo-diesel was introduced in July 02. Revised range (Jan 03): 1.3 and 1.5 CRDT models joined by new 1.6 petrol engine. CDX models have improved spec including side airbags
