Honda Legend

Honda is not a car brand that would normally sit comfortably alongside the likes of BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi. And despite the big three seemingly increasing their stranglehold on the premium car market in the UK, Honda has squared up against the BMW 530i, Mercedes-Benz E350 and Audi A6 3.2 FSI with the new Legend, and this time it's deadly serious. If the previous Legend was the equivalent of Honda turning up at a gunfight carrying a finely crafted sword, this model is more like the company taking aim with a .44 Magnum. The new Legend is loaded with technology to ensure it is as good to drive as any rivals as well as one of the safest cars in its class. Two high-specification versions are available, and while it can claim to be the most advanced car in its class, limited supply means it'll remain a rare sight on the road.

Standard equipment includes a multi-function computer, cruise control, active head restraints, electric front seatbelt pre-tensioners, Isofix child seat anchor points, headlight washers, Honda advanced pedestrian safety system with active pop-up bonnet, alarm, active front lighting system (AFS), high intensity discharge (HID) headlights, automatic headlights with dusk sensor, rear-view camera, power folding and retractable door mirrors, electrically-adjustable and heated door mirrors, glass electric tilt or slide sunroof with sunshade, auto-dimming mirrors, auto gearbox with steering wheel paddle shift, electrically-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable steering column, six-CD auto-changer with eight speakers, Bluetooth compatibility and DVD satellite navigation. Options include the safety features 'collision mitigation braking system', adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist system.
