The 156 always tried hard to look like it was a coupé, and now Alfa has turned it into a proper one with a very sexy body that the ageing GTV coupé needed. As ever the engines are the centrepiece of the Alfa experience with even the diesel unit offering a decent soundtrack. Charisma is much in abundance for the enthusiast and, no doubt, close proximity to an Alfa dealer would be an advantage.

All models are well equipped including dual-zone climate control, trip computer and alloy wheels. V6 version gets leather which is optional on other models.
